Chicago Spectro Service Lab
Quality Independent Metal Analysis at a Competitive Price
Chemical Testing
At Chicago Spectro, we offer many different types of chemical testing including: Atomic emission spectroscopy (AES/OES), Leco combustion for carbon & sulfur, Leco inert gas fusion for nitrogen and oxygen, x-ray fluorescence (XRF-WD), Atomic Absorption (AA), and wet chemical methods. Our team helps to ensure that the most appropriate and relevant methods are selected for testing. Our laboratory offers referee analyses, when requested, performed by ASTM wet chemical procedures.
Spectrographic Testing
Chicago Spectro offers high-quality spectographic testing services for various materials, including metals and non-metals. Our lab uses advanced equipment that provides fast and accurate chemical analysis of samples suitable for instrument analysis. Our unique methods allow us to determine 72 of the 100+ elements simultaneously, providing qualitative and quantitative analysis of the material. With our metallurgical expertise, we can also provide classification of unknown materials, and a complete spectrographic survey of detected contaminants.
Wet Chemical Testing
Chicago Spectro Laboratory offers wet chemical testing services that involve chemical analysis techniques to determine the chemical composition of a sample. These tests are typically conducted on liquid, solid or gas samples, and involve the use of reagents and solvents to isolate and identify specific chemical components. The laboratory uses a range of wet chemical testing methods, such as titration, gravimetry, and colorimetry, to provide accurate and reliable results. These tests can be used for a variety of purposes, including quality control, product development, and troubleshooting. Chicago Spectro Laboratory's wet chemical testing services are conducted by experienced chemists who adhere to strict quality control procedures, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of results
At Chicago Spectro, we also offer Lead and Cadmium release testing, specifically for dinnerware. Our team of experts is equipped with the necessary tools and techniques to ensure that the products you use are safe and meet industry standards.
